Insuring Through Tax Sale Proceedings:
- General overview of tax sale proceedings and necessary parties
- Discussion of service of the required statutory notices
- Review tax sale files for evidence of proper service of statutory notices
Erik has litigated and advised on real estate matters since 2004. Beginning in private practice, Erik litigated a wide variety of residential and commercial real estate matters ranging from private disputes to municipal and corporate actions. In 2010, Erik joined Fidelity National Law Group as an In-House Litigation Counsel for the Fidelity Family of Companies. While there, Erik represented underwriters and their insureds in litigation stemming from title insurance claims. In 2021, Erik joined Fidelity's Illinois Agency team as Underwriting Counsel where he provides underwriting support to the Company's title agents and insureds. Erik graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Chicago-Ken College of Law.
