Happy New Year, I always like saying that at this time of the year. It means we get a fresh start to our life. We can look back at last year and say either “glad that is over” or “what a great year”. Along with a New Year is having New Year’s Resolutions. We make commitments to exercise more, read more, and change something in our daily life that will make us feel better. In my business life I look at what worked in the previous year, or what do I want to add to my business to help my company and my agents be successful in the new year.

One of the top items that I know works for all of us is participation in the Illinois Land Title Association; from the designations (Illinois Title Professional and Illinois Escrow Professional), education opportunities, the annual convention, lobby day, and quarterly committee meetings. The events are a time to catch up with other title professionals and discuss what is going on in all areas of Illinois and our industry.

The ILTA legacy, over 110 years of service to title agents, abstractors, and underwriters is the foundation in assuring that industry issues and member concerns remain its primary focus.

For our current members, thank you for your continued support of ILTA. If you have not been a member of the ILTA in the past or it has been a couple of years, with the New Year, it is a great time to be a part of your title association that works with, and on behalf of its members. The ILTA is made up of members just like you from all parts of Illinois.
