Oh, the season of gift-giving! We spend countless hours planning, strategizing, organizing and fussing over just the perfect gifts to give at this time of year. And, sometimes we hit a “home run,” and other times we “strike out.” But, there is a “gift” that will always be a home run to anyone involved in title insurance in our state…involvement and participation in the educational opportunities provided by the Illinois Land Title Association! Make 2018 the year to give yourself and/or your employees the following “gifts!”

• We have the designation classes in the spring and fall which provide a pathway to achieving the designation of either Illinois Title Professional or Illinois Escrow Professional.  Instruction in these classes is provided by leaders in the title insurance industry in a classroom format surrounded by peers. Attendees benefit from the personal experiences and examples shared by the presenter(s) that bring the subject material to life.  You leave the classes with reference materials and a group of contacts to utilize in the future.
• Did you ever think you would be in the Capitol in Springfield surrounded by others in our industry talking with legislators? Lobby Day is held each spring giving all the chance to interact with our Representatives and Senators. And, if that sounds intimidating…it is not! It is very organized, you are provided training regarding the pertinent bills on the floor and you are never by yourself. The workings of our government come to life that day.
• The ILTA convention which will be held in Peoria this summer! What an opportunity to hear a plethora of speakers on topics pertinent to the title industry. Also, you step out of your “title microcosm” and interact with others from all over the state that have the same passion for title examination and closings that you do! Another perk… if you and/or your employees attend the convention each year after attaining your ITP or IEP, you have met your continuing education requirement for renewal. What a deal!
